Why is Vinegar so Good For you?
Well let’s start with the basics. The benefits you reap from vinegar will depend on which one you consume. So let’s cover some of the basic types of vinegar you’ll find at Sonoran Desert Apothecary:

Balsamic vinegar contains manganese, iron, magnesium, sulfur, and an antioxidant that is good for the immune system! The price on balsamic vinaigrette will vary by the time they have aged.
- Rice Vinegar – made from fermented rice, these vinegar are typically less acidic, mild, and sweeter than western vinegar. Rice vinegar contains potassium, magnesium, calcium, and phosphorus and can reduce systolic blood pressure.
- Wine Vinegar – can either be red or white and both are excellent for digestion. Red wine vinegar has acetic acid that can lower blood pressure and lower cholesterol. Both have antioxidants and can boost heart health. White wine vinegar has excellent antimicrobial benefits and can control tumor growth.
- Cider Vinegar – debunking the benefits of apple cider vinegar is starting to gain some traction. Don’t worry folks, for every parade you throw there is always gonna be someone to come and piddle on it. Many of the benefits of cider vinegar are scientifically proven. Some, not so much.
